Jaroslav Drobný was on the Czechoslovakian Gold Medal winning 1947 World Ice Hockey Championships team in Prague and the Czechoslovakian Silver Medal winning team in the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz. Drobný also competed in tennis at Wimbeldon and the French Open. In 1949 Drobný defected to the west. He never played hockey again but continued playing tennis and won Wimbledon in 1954. The cancel recognizes the fact that Drobnýwon the French championship in 1951 and 1952. Cancel size is 32 mm diameter.
