The sets were released at two different times. The set released on March 14, 1975 contained an ice hockey stamp (aus-19750314-s-01) but the First Day of Issue cancel did not contain any ice hockey. The other stamp set (without an ice hockey stamp) was issued on November 14, 1975 but the First Day of Issue cancel did contain an ice hockey player.The cancel was 45 mm in diameter and showed an ice hockey player, a figure skater, a pairs figure skaters, a speed skater and a ski jumper. In the lower left hand corner there was an identification number which went up to 10.
