He played for CDKA in the USSR championships from 1947 to 1957 for the Air Force of the Moscow Military District in 1950 -1953 and during the first two seasons was a player and coach at the same time. He played 130 matches and scored 254 goals. He played 25 games and scored 34 goals at the World Championships, European Championships and Olympic Games. In 1956, Vsevolod Bobrov was captain of the Olympic national hockey team which won gold medals. In total, he scored 332 goals, including 34 for the USSR national team.
