This cancel was used during the 1996 World Ice Hockey Championships. The tournament ran from April 21st until May 5th. The cancel shows the tournament logo and at the top of the cancel there is an identification number ranging from 1 to 6. The cancel is 26 mm wide by 50 mm tall. The WM in the cancel stands for "Weltmeisterschaft" , which translates in English to "World Championships". The cancel says
